I hope everyone had a great Presidents' Birthday weekend. Last week was crowded with Ash Wednesday, Valentines' and Mardi Gras. I hope everyone celebrated whatever moved them, in whatever way ...
It was a lovely Valentines' Day. I went to school for my doctoral seminar, and came back to Zheng greeting me with roses and also had cooked lunch. That day was full with a big opera rehearsal, viola lesson, dress rehearsal, and also stuffed-animal building for Eastman Students.
It was nice to have him here, and introduce him to more of my "life" in Rochester (which can get frantically busy!). A doctoral recital of an old friend on an old piece (Schubert, Arpeggione) was a delight to partake in also.
