I am enjoying my first day OFF (with no impending sense of academic duty or doom) for a long time. The last time I had one of these, China hadn't happened yet, etc.

reading The New Yorker on my iPad, as I had promised myself a subscription upon the finish of the semester. I had a paper subscription at one point, and then a Kindle one followed. The iPad version is great, with some really stunning displays of the photos and ads. They even have a function where you can "read the cartoons first."
I promised myself that today would be duty-free. I've cooked ahead, cleaned (enough), and what is not clean can wait until obligatory household maintenance resumes tomorrow.
